S1E3 Truth - Born Again

Connor discusses the concept of being "born again" as spiritual renewal and transformation through faith in Jesus. He highlights the story of Nicodemus, a religious teacher who sought truth from Jesus. The concept of being 'born again' is through the spirit, not by good deeds or religious purity. 

Connor shared his personal journey and struggle with religious performance and the temptation of self-reliance in his walk with Christ. He highlighted how he had fallen into the trap of believing he had it all under control, ignoring the hidden sin in his life. Connor emphasized the importance of remembering Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and the promise of the Holy Spirit, which allows us to embody and internalize Jesus as the truth. He ended by cautioning against the shift of the hero of our lives back onto ourselves, which could lead to religious legalism and the belief that we are our own saviors.
